The Brief
The Production Family delivered Production Management and Technical Direction for the opening of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, one of the UK's most ambitious new cultural buildings. Working with an exceptional creative team, the project transformed the Centre into a vibrant public destination through large-scale projection mapping, immersive performance environments and a landmark 360-degree stage installation in the Great Hall. The result was a technically ambitious and visually spectacular opening event that showcased the building's capabilities to audiences for the very first time.

Project Highlights
- Led the delivery of all production and technical services for the public opening of the new Schwarzman Centre, coordinating activity across multiple venues, stakeholders and artistic disciplines.
- Designed and delivered a bespoke 360-degree performance environment within the Great Hall, including central staging, surround seating and integrated technical infrastructure.
- Oversaw the specification and installation of a large-scale architectural projection mapping system, utilising the building's dome, balconies and internal architecture as an immersive canvas.
- Coordinated technical delivery across the Great Hall, Theatre, Concert Hall, White Box and learning spaces, enabling a varied programme of performances, talks and public-facing events.
- Worked alongside internationally renowned creative collaborators including Es Devlin, Finn Ross, Bruno Poet and the Schwarzman Centre's producing team to realise an ambitious opening programme.
- Managed suppliers, venue teams, contractors, projection specialists and technical crews through a compressed installation and commissioning period.
- Successfully transformed a newly completed building into a live cultural destination, creating memorable first experiences for audiences and demonstrating the full potential of the venue's performance and event spaces.
